Research Study – How Play Supports children with Down Syndrome through their Hospital Experience.

My name is Sasha White, and I am a final year BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies student at Stranmillis University College, Belfast.

As part of my final year, I am on placement as a member of the Health Play Specialist team in the Ulster Hospital, Northern Ireland. Moreover, in relation to my placement I am undertaking a small-scale research study (dissertation) titled ‘How Play supports children with Down Syndrome through their Hospital Experience‘ and I am hoping to conduct short 30–45-minute interviews with health play professionals and researchers within this field to gain insight on this topic and to support my study.

To widen my pool of participants I am hoping to reach out to HPS across the UK, not only Northern Ireland.

 I am wondering if you or anyone you know would be interested in participating in my research study in the form of a short interview? Participation in the interview is entirely voluntary.
