🌟 Exciting news! The new Preoperative Care Services for Children and Young People guidance has been published this week.
We are incredibly proud that SoHPS Board members Steph Fairbairn and Irene O’Donnell were part of the expert working group that helped develop this important guidance, ensuring the voice and expertise of Health Play Specialists were represented throughout the process.
The guidance highlights the importance of child-centred preparation, communication, and emotional support in improving the experiences and outcomes of children, young people, and families before surgery.
