Qualified Health Play Specialists in current practice* who wish to apply to re-register following a lapse in registration, including those who miss the 31st March re-registration deadline, are required to submit a Late Re-registration Application before their names can be reinstated on the public register.
The Late Re-registration process consists of 3 stages which must be completed in the correct order:
- Submission of the CPD Profile Form
- Health Play Specialists whose registration lapsed within the 3 years preceding the application date, must complete all 3 years of the CPD Profile Form.
- Health play Specialists in current practice* whose registration lapsed 3 or more years prior to the application date, may complete just Year 1 of the CPD Profile Form, provided the evidence submitted relates to the 12 months preceding the date of application.
- Payment of the Late Re-registration fee
- Submission of the Late Re-registration Declaration
Reinstatement on the public register cannot be approved until all 3 stages of the Late Re-registration process have been completed to the satisfaction of the Registration Standards Committee. Applicants will be informed by email when their re-registration has been approved.
*Qualified Health Play Specialists who wish to apply for reinstatement on the public register following a career break, and who are not currently in practice, should contact the Registration Coordinator for details of SoHPS’ Return-to-Practice protocol.
